Value Drawing
1. In this unit we learned about value and the value scale. I learned how to make drawings look more 3-D using value and shading. I also learned about composition and how to make my art more eye catching.
2. I chose to use the charcoal weighted pencils because i thought that they would look more richer and darker as well as add more value to my drawing. I also used it because i wanted to try something more new. I made my composition more interesting by adding a background, highlights and sharp slanted lines. 3. For me it was hard to make the eyeshadows look glittery like they did in the photo but I made it look more spackled to solve that problem. Another problem I faced was making the wood background because it was hard to get the right texture. I also thought it was hard adding highlights because the charcoal would keep smudging into it. I am most proud of the shading and gradient I did in my art work and I think that was the most successful. I had a full value scale and i think everything looked more 3-D then i could have hoped. |
